COCKROACHES

WHAT & WHY?

In Australia, there are two species of cockroaches that are of concern - German Cockroaches and American Cockroaches.

German cockroaches predominantly harbour in the interior areas of the property, mainly the kitchen cupboards, dishwasher, microwave and fridge.

American cockroaches predominantly harbour in the external areas of the property, but will occasionally find their way internally, to the kitchen and wet areas, by following an external wall or plumbing system into the house.

TREATMENT

Dependent on the species of cockroach, to effectively treat the infestation we apply a wet spray application to the external areas or a gel application to the internal areas.

HOW TO MANAGE COCKROACHES

You can’t prevent a cockroach infestation in every circumstance, but there are some things you can do to help reduce the likelihood of an infestation.

  • Keep your house clean and ensure that trash is disposed of to the outdoor bins, daily

  • Store food in sealed containers

  • Sweep and clean under appliances

  • Clean any food spills up immediately

HOW CAN I TELL IF WE HAVE COCKROACHES?
  • Finding live cockroaches in the microwave, fridge, dishwasher or pantry

  • Finding faecal deposits in cupboards

  • Seeing them or hearing them at night if you get up for a glass of water
