CHEMICAL TREATMENTS
Termites, often referred to as 'white ants' have the potential to cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to homes.

While they are pests, these insects serve an important role in nature, feeding on dead trees and converting them into organic matter.
​
Secretive by nature, they work within mud tunnels that they create within or external to timber or non timber materials.

HOW TO MANAGE TERMITES
It is important that a termite inspections is included in your home maintenance regime. Termite inspections are recommended to be completed by a professional, at least annually and protective treatments completed to AS 3660, every five years.

Chemical treatments to AS 3660 are installed to prevent termites from entering a building. There are two types of treatments on offer, localised or perimeter treatments.
A localised treatment (spot treatment) can be applied to an area away from a building, eg. a tree stump, garden edge, fence post, as an interim treatment, while perimeter treatments keep termites away from the main dwellings.
